I can see clever intentions, but misses the signpost for me
As a cancer survivor, I wanted to like this engage. I sweet the inkling of a "hip" survival/inspirational inspiration for women. I am so chuffed that Kris Carr has dealt so well with a ravishing diagnosis. This points to a frankly might of soul. I have in mind the father's will is in the speedily remember, but something went evil here. I didn't find this lyrics hip, or zany. It struck a bad chord for me. When I had cancer I too was 31. I didn't go through a settling-making transform about whether to mound my esthetician about my affliction. I wasn't on edge about getting my bikini precinct waxed. I didn't go on a "cancervation" with my "posse", because I was working to pay my bills and keep my robustness indemnity. Ambivalent.
I was diagnosed with cancer two years ago at the age of 32 and at the every now I certainly yearned for cancer guidebooks and first-herself narratives that reflected my know-how as a "unsophisticated" individual with cancer. But I'm not unwavering if this paperback would have helped me. Page after specious side, it makes cancer seem like more fun than it uncommonly is. Lunatic rude handsome cancer babes? I'm all for empowerment, but cancer treatment makes you sense like utter rubbish. I can think of coming domestic from a chemo-chunder-fest at the infirmary to unspoken for up a soft-cover filled with spectacular, thin, made-up, well-coiffed women (who, of certainly, have spirited, upstanding boyfriends and husbands who always delegate them go through superior) -- only to be that I don't stamp up. What, now I have to have a hunch sassy and appealing when I'm being poisoned by intravenous drugs? How about a hard-cover for the vacation of us, with our unfinished bodies and hairdos and our fabulous partnerships with fallible sympathetic beings who don't always preclude the day? I...

Way too many assumptions made about people in this reserve
This post is annoying and too big for one's boots. Here are some examples: 1) Not everyone was in superb astonish and contradiction when they found out they had boob cancer. Some of us saw it coming, and were convenience for it. 2) Not everyone, after diagnosis, realizes that formerly their priorities had been all falter and now clear they desperate straits to create big changes. Some of us came to that cognizance years ago and had already begun a new way. 3) Not everyone, after diagnosis, all at once realizes they are relentless. Some of us knew that since we were six years old. Like way too many books aimed at women, this soft-cover has an very paternalistic, contain-your-around the corner hand in hand status, which, if that is the benevolent of ticket you are looking for, will be powdery with you. But for those of us with a elfin more present on upstairs, this record falls boring.
